Delete your Skool Ride account

Last updated 1 October 2026

Parents, drivers and driver assistants can delete their own account from the Skool Ride app at any time. This page explains how, exactly what is removed, and the few records your school keeps.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open the Skool Ride app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile and tap Delete account.
  3. Read what will be removed, enter your password, and confirm.

Deletion happens straight away. You are signed out on every device and can no longer sign in with that phone number and password. It cannot be undone.

If a route is running — your child is on the bus, or you are driving — the app asks you to wait until the run has finished.

What is deleted

Parent accounts. Your account and profile (name, phone number, email, profile photo, saved home location), your notifications, and your requests to connect with drivers. Children who have never ridden a Skool Ride bus are deleted completely, with their photos, pickup and drop-off addresses, map pins and notes, and any absences you reported.

Driver accounts. Your account and profile, your profile photo, your verification documents (licence, national ID, vehicle and emergency kit photographs), your licence and national ID numbers, your driver code, your saved base location, your notifications, and every live location the bus reported. Your students are released so the school can assign a new driver, and their parents are told. Any assistant logins you created are deleted too. If you never ran a route, nothing about your driver profile remains.

Driver assistant accounts. Your login, profile photo and notifications. The driver you helped keeps their account.

What your school keeps

Schools rely on Skool Ride for attendance — who rode, and when they were picked up and dropped off. So that deleting an account does not erase those records, two things stay, with nothing that identifies you:

A child who has already ridden stays on the school's list as withdrawn, with their name, grade and past trips. They are no longer linked to your account, and their photo, home address, map pins and notes are removed. Absences reported for future days are deleted; the reasons you gave for past absences are cleared.

A driver who has run routes stays on those past trips as “Deleted driver”, together with the bus's number plate. No name, phone number, email, documents or password remain, and the record can never be used to sign in. It is unlinked from the school.

Entries in Skool Ride's activity log that you created are kept, with your name replaced by “Deleted user”.

School administrator accounts

School administrator accounts cannot be deleted from the app, because they hold the school's data for everyone else. To close a school or remove an administrator, email support@skoolride.app from the school's registered email address. Closing a school removes the school and everything belonging to it: its administrators, drivers, students, vehicles, trips and payment receipts.

If you can't use the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email support@skoolride.app from the email address on your account, or include the phone number registered to it, and say that you want your account deleted. We delete it the same way the app does, within 30 days, and confirm by email.

You can also remove individual data without deleting your account: parents can change a child's pickup location or their saved home location in the app, and drivers can change their base location. To have something removed rather than replaced, email us and say which item.

Location data

Bus positions reported during routes are deleted automatically after 30 days. When a driver deletes their account, all positions their bus reported are deleted at once.
